DAD has been designed to support the ‘National Design Policy, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Govt. of India’. DAD is dedicated to implement the objectives of National Design Policy and create awareness for the same.

DAD in it’s past 12 years of research has created a platform for creative design development, design promotion and partnership across many sectors, states and regions for integrating design with traditional and technological resources.

Global positioning and branding of Indian design and making “Design in India” a by word for quality and utility in conjunction with “Made in India” and “Served in India”.

One of the main objectives of National design policy is to provide quality education and DAD has taken it’s first step towards it by creating an open source for students who aspire to take up their career in design field. This source consists of information and self study materials that enables one to get prepared for upcoming national and international entrance examinations.

National Design Workshop

Design Awareness Drive has been working on designing several awareness programs that shall have impact on grass root level in the society. Ranging from crafts to cottage industry, entrepreneurship to creative leadership, DAD has taken up the projects that have introduced the concept of inception of Think Tanks even at schools to imbibe the innovation and allow individuals enjoy the creative freedom.

Our Awareness Drives include:

  • Awareness Drive for the book “INDIA VISION 2020” by the great visionary and India’s 11th President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. The book has been derived from the blue print that envisioned seeing India as developed nation till year 2020. This awareness workshop brings in Creative Leadership in lives of people.

  • Design as a tool to incept innovation in the schools. This program introduces design Thinking process and Fashion Design where human body becomes the canvas and the materials that are considered to be not very useful are used as raw materials to design artistic garments based on themes that create social awareness.

  • Awareness against Child Labor and Rag Picking. These global topics have been taken up by international organizations. DAD has a different perspective towards such serious social issues. DAD studies the list of complications that exist in the society in regards to such issues and takes up one complication and intends to simplify the complications and one by one.

  • Swatch Bharat Abhiyan- DAD has designed a national level reality show that to be aired on Television to create awareness.

Design Awareness Drive in the series of awareness has taken up the awareness for education as a priority. The awareness for education has been flagged off with launch of nation’s biggest Design Entrance Test Series which has turned out to be the life changer and savior for several design aspirants who are planning to join the Bachelor of Design, Mater of Design, Bachelor of Fashion Technology, Mater of Fashion Technology. The series also prepares students for Fine Arts and Applied Arts courses that are available in Universities like Banaras Hindu University-BHU, Delhi University-DU and several other institutions that have been listed in India Design Report by CII, Govt. of India.
